The Ledney family orginated in the Maramaros Mountains of Ukraine near modern day Torun, Lopushne and Majdan. John Ledney came to the United States in 1909 along with his wife, Anastacia Bitlyan and their oldest daughter, Maria (Mary). Their daughter Estelle Ledney is my grandmother.
