Oschip

Alternative spellings: Oship, Oszczep, Washick

My grandmother was Mary Oschip, daughter of Metro Oschip and Piza Turenchalk.  The Oschip family is the family I know the least about.  Metro was born in November of 1893 in the region of Eastern Europe where the Rusyn heritage stems.  One source (from St. Michael's church records in Clymer, Pennsylvania) suggests that Metro was the son of John Oschip and Yuko Lackuk.
